# Keyboard shortcuts

> Jupyter-style shortcuts for running, editing, and moving between cells.

Notebook shortcuts follow Jupyter. <kbd>Mod</kbd> means <kbd>Cmd</kbd> on macOS and <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> on Windows and Linux.

A notebook has two modes. In **edit mode** you are typing in a cell. In **command mode** a cell is selected but you are not typing in it. Press <kbd>Esc</kbd> to go to command mode and <kbd>Enter</kbd> to edit the selected cell.

## Both modes

| Shortcut | Action |
| - | - |
| <kbd>Mod</kbd> + <kbd>Enter</kbd> | Run cell |
| <kbd>Shift</kbd> + <kbd>Enter</kbd> | Run cell and move to the next |
| <kbd>Alt</kbd> + <kbd>Enter</kbd> | Run cell and insert one below |
| <kbd>Mod</kbd> + <kbd>F</kbd> | Find |
